Welcome to Religious Education at St. Thomas More!
Every single person in our family is noticed and known by name.In this way we try to model after Jesus, who knows each one of us personally and calls us by name (Isaiah 43:1).
Our youngest children (Pre-1st) begin in the Catechisis of the Good Shepherd program (CGS), a Montersorri method for fostering a young child's already existing relationship with God. The only requirement for a child to join CGS is that they be potty-trained.
Elementary-age children (2nd--6th) are taught in classrooms by members of our excellent, devoted team of catechists. We use the textbooks Christ Our Life from Loyola Press.
Middle Schoolers (7th--8th) prepare for Confirmation in a two-year program. They enter a small-group format emphasizing relationship-building and faith-based discussion.
We do much more than just hold classes together! Check out the tab on the left to see some of the seasonal celebrations / gatherings we host as a chance for our families to grow in fellowship and have fun.
If you have any questions we will be happy to answer them. Thank you for checking out our Faith Formation family! Whatever has brought you to this page, we hope you feel at home here!
