If there is an emergency need for reception of the Sacrament of Annointing of the Sick, please call the parish office at 248-647-2222 and press option 5 for a staff person if the office is closed.
The Anointing of the Sick is administered to bring spiritual and even physical healing during illness or surgery, especially (but not limited to) near the time of death.
Like all Sacraments, this annointing is an outward sign established by Christ, the Divine Physician, to confer healing, by God's will, of mind, body and spirit.
Sacraments are rites performed to convey God’s grace to the recipient, through the power of the Holy Spirit.
PLEASE NOTE: The Sacrament of Annointing can be received at any time of need, and may be received more than once. If you have a loved one in danger of death, we encourage you to call us for this Sacrament early, and not wait until someone's last hours. While it will be our top priority to come and annoint the sick, we can never GUARENTEE how long it will take a priest to arrive.
"Is any sick among you? Let him call for the presbyters of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14)
